Modular Series IV (3)
The MODULAR series is part of a process of deconstruction, both of Andrea Rodriguez's art and of her work with ceramics. This project has as its starting point an intense research process on the production and reproduction systems of ceramic sculpture. From this, the artist has come to question and invert the roles of its parts, focusing, in the first instance, on the molds as pieces that can stop being tools, to become works of art in themselves, made of the same material with which they were usually filled to reproduce other pieces. What happens when the work material unifies the entire process to put all the parts that constitute it under the same value? What happens when a mold becomes a work and when ceramics are used to reproduce molds?
