Since the beginning of her career, Andrea has explored the traditional language based on the transformation of clay and its products, a highly subjective and tactile form of fusion between solidity, stillness and memory. Forces and fragilities crystallize in forms that remind us of some historical alchemical adventure of producing gold (aurum). Andrea engages with the contexts and localities where her research takes place, thus responding to the contemporary context of global resource exploitation, industrialization, urbanization and the consequent environmental crises.
