Three fragments of Halley I

Sale price$280.000

Javier Otero is an artist whose artistic work investigates the movement and sensitivity of objects through the encounter between forms and their potentialities. His works are traces or records of what was an action and, at the same time, a praise of the micro-imaginaries and rhythms that objects contain. Staged, his works seem to encompass a certain contemplative dimension, which reveals the hidden properties of the life of objects, providing them with new meanings. The artist's biographical background, as we will see later, often shapes multidisciplinary works that address intimate but universal issues, where the artist explores the potential of objects that resonate through history, generations and cultures.

ABOUT

Javier Otero

As he walks, Javier Otero's vision finds treasures; small objects on the ground that serve as inspiration to tell a dreamlike story. The composition that the artist shows on paper is the result of a visual investigation of various physical phenomena. A quick movement, a sound or a flash of light are represented in the artist's work through drawing, turning the support into a territory inhabited by symbols.
