Definition: Spatial and sense-perceptible reality from which the things that surround us are made and which, with energy, constitutes the physical world . (Royal Spanish Academy, n.d., definition 2)
Raw material, expression, support and form are the protagonists of the works presented here. Each of them reveals the language that the artist has built around his work and technique. The link that is generated between artist and resource reveals the artist's own deep intention that he wants to reveal.
Magdalena Rojas and her manual folding work give an organic character to her evidently geometric work, Amalia Valdés and her exploration of cork, achieving a chromatic play fused with the material, Raimundo Edwards with his technique clearly transports us to urban languages, Solange Heilenkotter who with her shapes and cuts manages to get out of the plane and draw in space, Marcela Undurraga with her subtle textile work proposes a collage work where she plays with figure and background, and Andrea Rodríguez and her research in ceramics, which achieves a link between the industrial and the artisanal.
